 - The Zoog Zapper system is extremely user-friendly, and automatically pumps a liquid sanitizer into the air conditioner's drain pan and drain line at set intervals, preventing Zoogloea bacteria growth, which is frequently the reason for clogged AC drain lines. - The dispensing frequency, and the dispensed quantity of sanitizer can easily be changed by the user, allowing more frequent sanitizing for systems that are prone to clog often.  

- A refill of the reservoir requires less than $4 worth of Steramine tablets (purchased from Amazon), and a gallon of hot tap water.   

- The Zoog Zapper easily mounts directly to the air conditioner cabinet with magnets and by utilizing a powerful pump, the system can even be installed in a convenient location up to fifty feet away from the air conditioner cabinet allowing easy access and refilling. For example, the Zoog Zapper can be installed in a hallway closet and the tubing extended up into the attic to the air conditioner. The system is designed to be highly adaptable to many varied applications. 

- High-quality "Food-Grade" silicone tubing is used and all necessary fittings are supplied to allow the dispense tubing to reach the far back corners of the internal drain pan area of the air conditioner. Dispensing Steramine first into the entire drain pan is extremely important as the drain pan is where Zoogloea  bacteria begins to grow. The Steramine will flow from the drain pan into the drain line providing complete drain system sanitization.

Simple Panel Access for Tube Installation

Older drain lines often harbor bacteria that cannot be fully cleared by vacuuming alone. Flushing the line with water dislodges stubborn buildup, offering a more thorough cleaning. Installing the ZoogFlush Kit requires only a hacksaw or PVC pipe cutter and some PVC cement. Once installed, it enables periodic flushing to keep the drain line clear, with an initial flush ensuring the line is as open as possible.

The ZoogOut, our patent-pending Universal Vacuum Hose Adapter and Holder, is included with your system. This tool allows you to easily vacuum out your AC drain line using a wet/dry vacuum. While the Zoog Zapper maintains cleanliness, we recommend occasional vacuuming as part of your regular AC maintenance routine to remove dirt, pet hair, and other debris that can accumulate over time. Pre-Installation Cleaning is Essential
Proper cleaning of your drain line before installing the Zoog Zapper is crucial for optimal performance. Many condensate drain systems are not installed correctly and may require adjustments. The Zoog Zapper is a maintenance device, not a clog-clearing device, so any blockages must be cleared first. This may involve vacuuming, flushing, or in extreme cases, re-piping. Supplies for flushing and vacuuming are included to assist in the cleaning process.

Addressing Marginal Installations
Many AC systems and drain lines are poorly installed, contributing to Zoogloea growth and clogging. Optional tools like PVC cutters, cement, and fittings may be helpful for correcting drain line issues, but they are not mandatory.  Customizable Sanitization Settings
The Zoog Zapper allows you to easily adjust both the sanitizer quantity and dispensing frequency, giving you full control over your system’s sanitization needs. For drain lines prone to frequent clogging, increasing the dispensing rate has been highly effective in preventing issues, as demonstrated during field testing on over 90 systems.

• Default Setting (As Shipped):
  The Zoog Zapper dispenses 1/2 cup of sanitizer every 7 days, requiring a reservoir refill after 6 months. This setting is ideal for systems prone to occasional clogs.

• Reduced Dispensing Rate:
  For less problematic systems, the dispensing interval can be adjusted to every 15 days, extending the reservoir refill time to 12 months. This rate works well for systems with minimal clogging history.

• Intermediate Setting (10-Day Interval):
  For systems with a moderate clogging history, the system can be set to dispense sanitizer every 10 days, requiring a reservoir refill after 9 months. This setting strikes a balance and can later be adjusted to every 15 days if no clogs occur

  You can modify the amount of sanitizer dispensed per cycle. For instance, commercial systems may require 1 cup per cycle instead of the default 1/2 cup. For these scenarios, we recommend using a larger reservoir, which can be as simple as any appropriately sized container.
